Let him go first.
This idea that "doors should be opened for me- I should get on/off first-Why should I pay?- I can't open this jar- I won't even try to fix this toilet- doing the lawn is men's work! because I'm a woman" is still around! Even after all the accomplishments done by the feminist movements we've had so far. To me this is a contradiction and now don't say something like "I am not a feminist!" because this is not what I'm talking about, but if you are a woman and you think you can be as great and respected as a man but still have your date pay for the taxi cab and give him an ugly eye if he doesn't open the door for you then this applies. Don't we all (women) argue that we are as good as men and that we should be treated fairly and equally and that long speech? Then drop the special treatment entitlement and act as such, as an equal, open a door for a man at the store, let a man on the bus first, pay for your male friends at the bar. Don't talk, do, don't ask for rides, give one. Change the culture.

"There ain't no rest for the wicked,
Money don't grow on tress
We got bills to pay
We got mouths to feed
Ain't nothing in this world for free

We can't go back

A Touch of Steel

always said:
Never trust a man with
an open direct stare

The American Dream
The American dream starts at 5 am and ends at midnight.
Something really funny that we joke around between the immigrant communities is that the real american dream is to work your ass for some money. I mean yes this money translated into "persos" or whatever other less "valuable" coin may seem like a lot but in reality it isn't, or at least not equivalent to the hard work put into acquiring it. There is this misconception in the outside world, mostly by under developed countries, that "america" (United States) is some kind of milk and honey fairy land or something. One of the scariest things about this country is how this misconception is still being spread around, and yes one does not have to look far, for instance what do we see in most movies produced by the U.S.? We see kids going to fancy ass schools, people with high paying jobs, educated clean civilians, advanced society, better clothes, better cars, better homes, better life... Then there is the fact that what happens in the U.S. stays in the U.S. We don't hear about the government selling out, the economy crashing, Unaffordable Higher education, Sallie Mae, corruption, corruption and more corruption. The violence and terror is always happening on foreign soil, never in motherland, blond is better. Think about it, is it really fair to blame immigrants for wanting a piece of the imaginary pie?

Boston Bombing
Panel 1:
- Did you hear about the Boston Bombing yet?
Panel 2:
- Yes! that is some terrible shit!
-Obama called it terrorism and tried to blame the middle east.
Panel 3:
-I wonder if he calls what we do to other countries terrorism as well.
-Doubt that!
Don't take me wrong, I do agree that the bombing was some fuck up shit BUT that does not give the right to anyone to be racist and blame it on the middle east or north Korea or any other enemy country when the evidence points to something very local (I tried to find the original news article where I read about the FBI blaming the middle east for the pressure cooker bombs but I assume it was taken down or something). Why don't we look internally? I mean, this country is going down a line I know pretty well and I don't know if any one else noticed but this is not the first terririst attack done in the US that does not include some external enemy, does any one remember the christian radicals throwing Molotov bombs to Planned Parenthood clinics? if not, google it, that was a terrorist attack and that is just one example. Any act of terror use with the means of carrying out a message is a terrorist attack or as the dictionary says "The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims". So why blame some outsider when we can clearly blame ourselves?
Also, not like the United States hasn't done some fuck up shit to other countries as well, it isn't call terrorism because we are blind to reality, and we like it that way.

Janitor's Closet
I drew this because of the boring subject. That is a transparent cheap industrial trash bad holding blocks of industrial tissue paper, something that those who haven't had my job have never seen, neither care to nor ever even thought about. I am a janitor, I work nights, so I am one of those invisible people who clean your pretty little cubicle (yes it was not magic neither unicorns) so that you can be happy and work comfortably. I am pretty low on the job scale, so do many of my friends, so does the guy who cleans the streets early in the morning, the dude at the coffee shop or the chick behind the cash register at the gift shop. People who do these jobs are also people, they have lives, dreams and desires, for instance one of the ladies at work had to ask off because her father died and she had to travel back to her native country in Africa (I can't remember where exactly), Green has three children and he is working hard to get them into college, Elcira is a fifty six years old woman who is working to pay off her home in Colombia to which she plans to return to and enjoy, my room mate is a waitress and is working to pay off one by one her classes at the Community College. I clean a building full of cubicles, and we, the janitors are always blamed for the "missing candy", eaten lunch, we are not allowed to be seen anywhere on the building before five o'clock, can't use the vending machines, waitresses are always lazy and non attentive, my order was wrong, they made a mistake let's be assholes to them! Why are we treated this way, what did we do wrong? Have a minimun wage job? We are not less human than some one who makes thousands per hour, we are all disposable my friend, it only just so happens that not all jobs ask for the same requirements.

Why do women hate each other?
Is it because we hate ourselves? I've noticed how hate and envy swims freely between female to female relationships only. Like what the fuck? Nothing the other woman does is good, if she lost weight during the summer she was starving herself maybe she was even heard puking her lunch once! Or maybe she worked out really hard and changed her diet? decided to be healthy and pay attention to her own body, learned to love herself? If she is pretty is bad, she being ugly is also bad, too fat too thin, hair too long too short too successful, pregnant at fifteen, has a good guy, oh boy those pants! Stop it! I remember being a little girl and worrying about my weight, Jewsus! Making real friendships with other women has being one of the hardest things to do since I became an "adult". I've tried to get out of such habits, seriously, other women are allowed to be pretty too and I've decided to be okey dokey with it and I can do it and I can be less critical of myself because I stop being critical of others which means that I've stopped the hating cycle and my eyes are free to rejoice on the amazing person in front of me. This is a very personal decision, not saying we should all do it, but in my case it works, it is hard, sometimes my insecurities want to come afloat and do their thing but I have to consciously remind myself of this motto "We are all free to do and be what and who we want, including prettier than -me-"
The Young Mother
I got pregnant at eighteen and I had my son at nineteen (almost twenty) so I guess I was stroked by motherhood a bit too early. This widened my understanding of the world. Being a young mother isn't the worse thing, being young while raising a child is actually pretty awesome. I can go to the play ground with Seamus and do things with him, like chase him around on the jungle gym or play actually physical games that involve moving. I remember my mom never did this, she would take me to the playground and then disappear! Or the fact that I can remember childhood pretty well, oh yes all of those little tricks I used to play on my own mother like hiding food in weird places or eating dog food, pretending to choke on foods I hated, pooping and not wiping, not brushing my hair and saying that I did, use her make up, lotions, soaps and things of the sort. But the most amazing part of being young and having a son is the fact that I get to enjoy childhood all over again; We eat a whole box of cookies while watching Hey Arnold! or we go together to the kiddies movies. We go to cool awesome places like Please Touch Museum or the Franklin Institute or the zoo, circus, pony rides... We watch movies until late on weekend nights, play hide and seek at Ikea, play golf at the laundromat or enjoy a good match on the arcades. I enjoy this, and I don't see any shame on it, yes other older mothers do judge me, so do other people who don't know me, but that's them, and this is me, and I decided to keep my son, and I will not miss my chance of being the "best mom ever" because our modern society decided to make it a sin to be young and a mother.

Kids, Masters of Extortion
I got Seamus, my four years old side kick I mean son, a cheap foam sword from five and below, and boy does he love that thing! The other day while we were at the laundromat, he grabbed me by my belt and pulled me over to the vending machines and pointed the sword at me and asked for candy. Mind you, Seamus does not speak very clearly yet, so the conversation went like this "What?! are you using that sword against me?!" and he said something like "Yah! yada yada candy!" and I was like "Oh well Seamus I ran out of dollars I can't get you anything" and he stabbed me!
I hope he grows into a man that knows to question his authority and fights for what he thinks is rightfuly his, in this case was just candy, but maybe tomorrow his own freedom.

I was on the bus when I first drew this out on my sketchbook, and I was just remembering this one dumb cunt nugget who was mean to my best friend when we went out partying for her birthday. Stephanie, my besty of friends, was dancing having fun you know, what we all do when we go dancing- oh wait, nope, I am wrong, not all of us go out thinking about having a good time, at least not this "I am really badass because I have a leather jacket, a mohawk, holes all over my already pretty ugly face and metal things poking out of my outfit" bitch. The "punk" chick spilled beer on Stephanie's shirt, and Stephanie was all like "Hey! yada yada" and the punk chick looked at her birthday pin and made fun of her (I don't remember exactly what happened because I was pretty drunk but she said some mean stuff and kept bumping against Stephanie on purpose all night). Like bitch, is that what you call being a punk? Anarchisms is not synonyms with rude dumb cunt, or at least it's not supposed to! No wonder punkrock is dying out.
For my first post I decided to share my thoughts on Hipsters, such a heated topic... Not that I am as judgmental as you probably are but I got to tell you, I hate those damned "kids". I hate how I've tried to be all nice to them and talk and start a conversation and instead I end up being looked down on because I actually happen to be a REAL geek/nerd whateveryoucallit. Once outside this terrible hipster bar I go sometimes (great music dude) I tried to start a conversation with this chick wearing a pretty cool star wars shirt and I was all like "Hey, I like your shirt! What was your favorite sequel?" and her answer was "Ummh yeah..I got thissss when I went to London..Oh hey.." and she went off to talk to another one of her "cool" friends. Or my friend from high school is now super ultra cool because she is super ultra hisptersss and too cool to be my friend anymore (yeah that's how the friendship ended). So yah...Hipsters will die out soon, just like emo kids did, and I will still be here, being the real artist.
